Spirit of Nog•Fest Yet to Come
I am the Spirit of Nog•fest yet to come
And when I look into the future, what do I see?
Only one more Nog•fest is waiting for thee.
But do not be sad, be of good cheer.
Nog•fest 20 will rock the stratosphere!
So eat, drink, and be merry!
Boogie until you wear out your derriere-y!
And when you get home, take a long rest.
Then get to work on your costume, make it your best.
For our last Nog•fest will too soon come,
And We’ll want to make our hosts proud of us,
Harry and Kay Lum.

When and where and what
is this Nog•Fest thing?
WHEN:
Saturday December 8th at 6 pm and going until the nog runs dry, or everyone is too pooped to party, whichever comes first!
WHERE:
At the office of Convenience Electronics Cable house and Party Hall located at 2306 Vondron Ave. Madison Wisconsin.
The nearest hotel is The Days Inn of Madison, 4402 E. Broadway (about one mile from our venue!) The phone number is 608-223-1800.
WHAT:
It's a Christmas costume party with a long history and tradition! We wear costumes, drink nog and other beverages, socialize, goof off, dance, sing and make merry! Sound like fun? well, it IS! Maybe that's why this is the 20th time we are doing this! Read about the history on our history page!
|
What are we
suppose to wear?
A Noggy costume of course! Now, this is totally optional, but... I have a feeling that if you show up without a costume, you will wish you had one on! We even have a parade of costumes and give valuable prizes for the best costumes! It could be the start of a big modeling or acting career for you! You can see plenty of examples all over this website and on the invitation! (Be sure to click on Doug at the right). You can even use your costume for other uses after Nog•fest! Click HERE to see!

What if Nog is not my thing?
WHAT? You don't like Nog? Well, you are still welcome to attend, because we forgive you. We will have nog with Brandy, Rum and nutmeg on the side so attendees can make the nog suit their tastebuds. In addition to Nog, we will have a variety of good beer (and a lite beer for our attendees from Iowa). We will also have a variety of soda and water so everyone can have a safe ride home!
|
What kind of food will you have?
Well, since I DON'T COOK, and we don't have time to bake anything because we are so busy decorating and stuff, we ask our attendees to bring a dish to pass. This is totally optional however. Nog•fest is NOT about the food. We will supply a variety of snacks, cookies, cheese and crackers and stuff like that. |
Will we receive gifts?
YES! But only if you bring one! We also have a totally optional gift exchange! Here's how it works: Bring a gift that has a perceived value of about $6 (U.S.). We will have a special place for you to put it at Nog•fest. Sometime later in the evening, we will do the gift exchange. BUT...if you leave before we do the gift exchange, and you brought a gift, PLEASE take one! Sometimes we get so busy having fun that we forget to actually formally do the gift exchange at all! So, the basic rule is, if you bring one, please take one also! |
There must be some sort
of admission?
You are absolutely right! There IS admission to Nog•fest! But, relax, it's cheap and will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside! We ask each attendee to please bring one non-perishable food item. We will gather them all and take them to a local food pantry. Just think, you can have a great time at a party and feel good about it all at the same time!
Be sure to download and print out the pdf of the full color hard copy invitation! (please be patient, it takes a few momets to download because it has so much good stuff in it!) Not only is it your Nog•fest invitation, it is also your Christmas card from the Lums! Be sure to hang it in a special place (after you read every square inch of it of course!)
Thank you! see you on Dec. 8th! |
